In den letzten Tagen konnte ich vermehrt lesen, dass einige Blogs doch massive Probleme mit den Pings und Trackbacks haben. Auch ich hatte gemerkt, dass etliche Beiträge von meinungsguck.de bei Technorati einfach nicht ankamen. Ebenso werden neue Artikel bei WordBlog.de nicht gelistet, obwohl die Pingadresse korrekt in den Einstellungen hinterlegt ist.
Daher habe ich einfach mal ein wenig nachgeforscht und bin im WordPress-Blog sowie im WordPress-Forum nun endlich fündig geworden. WordPress 2.7 beinhaltet wohl einen kleinen Fehler in der cron.php, der sich sehr leicht beheben lässt. Wer keine Lust hat selbst in der Datei rumzufummeln, braucht einfach nur auf das neue WordPress Update warten, dass in Kürze erscheinen wird. Welche Änderung vorgenommen werden müssen findet man im Trac. Einfach die Zeile 201 wie beschrieben in der cron.php ändern, hoch laden und fertig.
Ob diese Änderung nun die Lösung alle Pingprobleme ist gilt abzuwarten. Besonders der Wordblog.de ignoriert hartnäckig aus irgendeinem Grund meine Pings. Auf meine Anfrage per Email habe ich bis jetzt noch keine Reaktion erhalten. Ist aber nicht so wichtig, denn so wie es aussieht werden nun alle Pings -zumindest an allen anderen wichtigen Stellen- korrekt übertragen. Ebenso die Trackbacks, die für mich aber eher weniger von Bedeutung sind.
Wie schaut es bei euch aus?
Hattet Ihr mit WordPress 2.7 auch Probleme mit den Pings? Und weiss vielleicht jemand woran es noch hängen könnte?

Mir ist es bei bloggerei.de aufgefallen, habe was geschrieben, und es ist dort nicht erschienen. Meistens hab ich dann den Post einfach nochmal aktualisiert, und plötzlich war er auch auf bloggerei.de zu sehen.
Aber seit neustem dauerts auch elendig lange.

@Phil ist ist wirklich seltsam, und keiner scheint so richtig eine Erklärung dafür zu haben. Habe jetzt mal eine neue Seite “Pingtest” eingerichtet. Genauso wie ich, kann hier jeder seine Pings testen. Werde dann irgendwann die Einträge wieder löschen.

Habe auch ein komisches Problem mit den Trackbacks in meinem Blog. Z.B. Bekomme einen Trackback auf einen neiner Beiträge, es wird auch “1Kommentar” angezeigt aber der Trackback ist nicht zu sehen. WP 2.7.1

Also ich habe dieses Problem nach wie vor. Vorgeschlagenen Wert in der cron.php angepasst (welcher sich bei mir übrigens in Zeile 229 befindet) aber es funktioniert immer noch nicht.

Ja, das Problem besteht, trotz 2.8.2, wohl immer noch. Ich benutze “MaxBlogPress Ping Optimizer” um wenigstens ein wenig Kontrolle über die Pings zu haben.

Hi Leute,
ich nutze ebenfalls WP in der letzten Version (2.8.3). Ich habe jetzt mal den Hack in der wp-includes/cron.php gemacht und weder Ping noch Trackback funktionieren.
Steht nicht einmal in der Datenbank beim Post als Pingadresse drinnen – was ja eigentlich der Fall sein sollte.
Und ich weiß, dass es bereits funktioniert hatte – in einer älteren Version – ich glaub das war noch die 2.6er Version.

Mittlerweile scheint es sich bei mir gebessert zu haben. Wobei auch nicht 100%tig jeder Ping oder Trackback durchgeht. Manchmal habe ich auch das Gefühl dass es an der Gegenseite liegt.

Ich hab zwar das Timeout auf 1 Sekunde geändert, aber der Trackback ist nach wie vor nicht eingelangt.
Mich würde ja auch interessieren, wie oft man für ein und den selben Artikel einen Trackback anstoßen kann.
Wenns nicht allzu verfroren ist, täte ich ja euch bitten – und das soll jetzt keine Schleichwerbung sein – in einen eurer Beiträge meinen Beitrag zu erwähnen.

Morgen Andi,
wie versprochen habe ich jetzt mal einen Testbeitrag gemacht in beiden Blogs gemacht die ich habe.
In beiden stand auch ganz kurze Zeit später im Bereich “Trackback senden” Deine Seite drinnen die ich verlinkt habe – also bei “Bereits gepingt”
Die beiden Kommentare hätte ich jetzt aber auf der Seite nicht gesehen – oder ist das eh so beabsichtigt?
Bei den einen Beitrag hätte ich dann nicht nur Deine Test-Ping-Seite eingetragen, sondern auch jene Seite in meinen anderen Blog die ich extra hierfür geschrieben hatte.
Dort hin hat er mir keinen Ping gemacht.
Kann es eventuell darann liegen, weil beide Domains am selben Server liegen?

Do you believe putting level requirements on items is a good idea? New players in Ardream and Ronark Land getting detroyed by players that have +9 armor and +3 uniques might be bad for business no? Putting a level requirement would even up the field and new players would feel how fun the game truly is when they actually have a chance to compete. Its not really fair one guy that has uniques meant for end zone (AKA cz) in a beginner zone like Ardream
